HYIPTRAIN is a retrofit kit converting a diesel passenger train into a HYdrogen Internal combustion engine Passenger TRAIN.
When installed onto the train, it enables to substitute the dirty and expensive diesel fuel with clean burning and environmentally friendly hydrogen fuel.
The trick is that it reduces the costs of hydrogen introduction onto the railways by 20x compared to purchasing a new hydrogen passenger train from OEMs like ALSTOM, STADLER or SIEMENS and is a practical decarbonization solution since it solves the decarbonization for the trains in use.
