Porto: transportation services for individuals with mobility limitations
The Challenge
The daily transportation management for the users of the Porto Association for Cerebral Palsy (APPC) currently relies on a manual, time-consuming, and inefficient logistics process.
In this context, APPC is looking for an innovative technological solution to automate the internal management of transportation services for individuals with mobility limitations. The solution aims to optimise resource use - minimising costs, time, materials, and labour - while preventing delays, service failures, and incompatibilities. It involves assigning vehicles based on their features and users' needs, coordinating routes, and improving service efficiency, speed, and reliability for individuals with mobility limitations. This would reduce waiting and travel times, while enhancing comfort and the quality of journeys.
The Porto Association for Cerebral Palsy will host one pilot in collaboration with individuals with mobility limitations.
